NBHA State Championships

National Barrel Horse Association will be holding Alaska's State Championships on August 8, 2009 with opening ceremonies beginning at 2:00pm at the Soldotna Rodeo Grounds. Alaska's two competing districts has 48 entries, vying for go round money and the titles of champion and Reserve Champion in their specific class and division. Classes of Youth, Open, and Senior will also be competing for $500 added money. Buckle and award sponsors are National Oilwell-Varco, Peninsula Veterinary Services, Professional Home IV Therapy, McKenzie Transport, Pat Gamache in Memory of Walt Gamache, Lucky Horse Ranch, Broken F Ranch, High Country Log and Leather, and Open 3D Race Proceeds. Spectators are encouraged and welcome to attend free of charge. Come cheer your favorite barrel racer on and support the #1 industry leader in barrel racing, NBHA. Horses For Sale, Alaska

Lucky Horse Ranch currently has 6 horses for sale, the "Horses for Sale" page has been up dated with photos & information.

The 1 day training clinic with Barry Cox was a huge success! Mr. Cox spent some quality one on one training time with several of the horses and their riders. Many techniques and problem solving issues were discussed & shown. Barry is a phenomenal trainer! He is very easy to understand both for the horse & the rider. You wont want to miss this clinic next time it comes around!! Photos of this years event will be posted soon.

Don't forget about the Monday night Barrels at the Ranch! We have some nice prizes for the winners!

1 Day Clinic -Berry Cox

We will be having a one day clinic with Barry Cox, located at the Lucky Horse Ranch. It will be 9-5 and $100.00 for the day. Max of ten people RSVP by Saturday so I will know who is coming:) Please give Corey a call for more information , rsvp, or to get directions! 6 slots left!!

Liability & Boarding Contract Posted

The "Forms" page has been up-dated, now you can print, fill out and sign the Liability form before leaving for the stable. The goal is to have an on-line form that you can fill out on your computer and submit it directly to the stable. PLEASE let me know if there are problems with it.

I have the Lucky Horse Ranch Barrel times as well, I will get them posted soon.

Getting started

Summer 2009 is off and running with a great start! We had a huge turn out for the first Monday night barrels, horses & riders were both keyed up & ready to perform. Even the weather cooperated with lots of warm sun.

We have a bunch of new photos, so don't forget to check out the "Album"! If you see your picture and wish to include a name or a short tag, e-mail me with the info & I will add it.
*Note: At this time all the photos on the website are available to down load. Feel free to copy them. However Point & Chute Photos will be joining us and will have professional high quality photos & prints for sale. Check back for more details!

WEBSITE Up-Dates : I am still waiting for the LHR Forms and more information regarding the trainers & up coming NBHA events. It will be posted here and on the calendar as soon as I get them. I will continue to work on the design issues & bugs. But please contact me with any question, comments or if you see something I might miss.
